A Dynamic Modern Interior
Tall ceilings soar above this dramatic two-story living room and the modern home’s interior design incorporates a host of dynamic material selections. Custom cabinetry, floating shelves, double-height draperies, bespoke upholstery, and floor-to-ceiling wallpaper flank the room’s focal points. The expansive black marble fireplace offers a drama that no other interior design feature could.
The contemporary architecture of the home allows for an effortlessly minimal look, which is perfectly offset by Henck Design’s (HD) approach to furnishings. The clean white kitchen with a custom black hood and ebony island creates a clean contrast. The two-tone counter material keeps the modern kitchen design both functional and warm. The marble backsplash tile adds some interest via geometric textures over the kitchen sink. All hardware and fixtures throughout the kitchen and bathrooms were hand selected, tying in decorative lighting and simultaneously balancing gold accents.
The primary bedroom design was all about offsetting blue walls with neutral interior design elements. Warm textures and geometric patterns offset the cool blue tone of the wall color, creating a fresh yet cozy quality. Rather than using typical nightstands as bedside tables, Henck Design incorporated full-size dressers, adding storage and grandeur to the space.
The custom eight-foot high headboard towers behind the soft seating at the end of the bed allowing room for these homeowners to stretch their legs and lounge during weekend respites.
Window treatments line every window within this luxury modern home. Even in stairwell and hallway landings, the designers at Henck Design specified custom drapery fabric for panels that frame out each window from floor to ceiling.
The 5th floor was outfitted with exceptional materials, especially chosen for the homeowners to create their dream movie viewing room. An expansive wallpapered ceiling, a dark espresso brown wall color, and beige functional draperies complete the space after furniture, rugs, and lighting outfit the room.
Because of the client’s Cuban heritage, HD incorporated black and white original photography from the streets of Havana. An oversized double chaise lounge in addition to large leather swivel chairs provides ample seating for game day gatherings and with the 2000 square foot roof deck just steps away, this top-floor entertainment area leaves nothing to be desired.
