A Modern Family’s Luxury Philadelphia Home

The Henck Design team overhauled this new construction transitional property on Spring Street in Logan Square. The plan for the home’s interior design was to take a beautiful blank canvas and decorate it with special furnishings, while keeping a light, bright and neutral interior design palette. Large-scale light fixtures, custom furniture and herringbone floors name a few stand out features of the distinguished property.

The client, a well-known CEO at University City Science Center recently relocated from Atlanta to Philadelphia and was in need of the best interior design services around. In order to set this exceptional modern woman and family up for success, it was important that Henck Design make her spaces very comfortable, relaxing, and by carefully incorporating fine finishes like marble, brushed gold and unique mirrors, the rooms were elevated to have high end appeal.

Because the first floor is open concept, it was essential to divide the individual seating areas with custom rugs and compartmentalize the home’s open floor plan to serve multiple functions.

Reinforcing Henck Design’s classic modern style, large-scale mirrors line the living room walls and applied moldings create a custom frame to add character to the otherwise empty and expansive main wall that unifies the living, dining and kitchen spaces.

The custom curved sofa under the front window has a velvety finish boasting a truly transitional aesthetic for the living room’s design. The kitchen has a double waterfall island with Carrera marble that’s absolutely stunning and over the island, hang two gold pendants that match the adjacent counter stools, island faucet and nearby furnishings.

In the primary bedroom, a large modern four-poster bed fills the space with textured wallpaper lining each wall leading into the expansive primary closet and then bathroom. Custom draperies create a soft backdrop to the bedrooms interior design and a natural white grass rug spanning almost wall-to-wall over the herringbone style hardwood floors. Large floating shelves were incorporated to highlight some decorative accessories as well as large-scale nightstands to house bedroom essentials for this happy client.
