Fun & Funky in Fishtown
These clients on York Street in Fishtown at this new construction property are certainly not afraid of bold color or pattern. So, we did both for them! We wanted to give a dramatic look for the client while remaining sophisticated. These clients are young professionals and up-and-coming in their fields. Henck Design pulled colorful selections for them in custom upholstered pieces and contrasted them with mixed metals. We mixed in dark wood tones and gorgeous hardwood floors to have an earthy, grounding design element.
Wallpaper was a critical part of this interior design job in this up and coming area of Philadelphia. To create a chic look, we mixed black and white with gold tones to reflect something from the 20’s Gatsby era. Our inspiration for this was a modern take on a colorful Dali painting found in the dining room from which we pulled the color palette.
Color belongs in the home. It’s always sunny in Philadelphia when you’ve got a sofa this bright! The townhome really fits the clients’ sunny personalities which we reflected in the interior décor. Fishtown and Northern Liberties are two of our favorite neighborhoods and this new construction development by RiverWard’s group was fabulous to work with!
Each room in the home has its own feeling and use. The husband’s office is very masculine and the wife’s boudoir is perfectly pink and also functions so that she can do her seamstress work and have office space. It even has guest space with the sleeper sofa as well. The house truly reflects the personalities of our clients, while meeting the couples day-to-day needs. While having a very modern and sophisticated style, the 4 story townhome is very colorful and vibrant to suit our client’s funky style!
