Laid back Luxury in Middle Tennessee

One of the most popular suburban destinations in Middle Tennessee is just south of Nashville. The beauty and charm of Franklin, Tennessee is well-known. Whether it’s the local charm of Downtown Main Street, the rustic design of the Modern Farmhouses, the tight knit community of Williamson County, or the gorgeous rolling hills, there is much to love about Franklin, Tennessee.

For these interior design clients living in the Echelon Development, a relaxed luxury design style was important. Luxury furnishings, touches of muted wall colors and custom carpentry are present to enhance the Modern Farmhouse style.

Reflected into the home’s interiors is that “special something” that tells the story of those who live there. The interior design style and surrounding culture is one of old farm country – with sprawling ranches, acres of farms, forests of local hardwoods, as well as original farmhouses in and around Middle Tennessee.

Natural elements and clean lines are throughout the home as well. Tying the living room to the kitchen design allows for a clear visual flow throughout the home. Adding oversized pendant lights to the rooms was a priority. White furniture pieces like the slipcover style sofa in the living room, along with cream dining chairs that create cohesion with the counter stools in the kitchen helped add to this flow.

Traditional elements like the modern farmhouse style dining room table, family room rug, and kitchen cabinet design create for a truly classic space. Part of the interior design goal for this open format first floor was to inject soft color into the spaces without compromising the neutral color palette. The Henck Design team approached this refresh by adding light blue and warm neutral paint colors to the tray ceiling, builtins, kitchen island and custom hood over the gas range.

Current decor styles among home builders and interior designers in the greater Nashville area call for natural material finishes like custom stained flooring and accents atop expert carpentry, along with incorporating board and batten wall treatments, high end lighting fixtures, custom window treatments and top quality furnishings.
