One riverside is a beautiful new condo building right on Schuylkill banks in Philadelphia Pennsylvania finished in 2017. Dranoff Properties partnered with Cecil Baker + Partners to create this fabulous building in the heart of Fitler Square complete with 80 residences and two penthouses. This condo’s interior design concept was about creating meaningful layers. In the master bedroom you’ll see soft charcoal linen drapes over top a navy blue black-out shade with a sizeable black leather tufted bench in front of the bedroom window’s fabulous Schuylkill views. We incorporated an organic charcoal gray wallpaper and large scale art to add volume to the space and prevent things from feeling “minimal”. The matching dresser and nightstands (in contrasting colors) with brushed gold details have a linen texture that unifies the upholstered bed and custom window treatments. We outfitted the spacious master bathroom with a large-scale custom mirror with antique gold finishes and contrasting wall colors and updated home accessories to complete the luxurious master bath.
The living room design was created to emphasize the incredible views from the 10th floor of this iconic building, to maximize their visibility from every viewpoint in the room. We oriented the furniture to be both conversational and allow the floor to ceiling windows that feature the cityscape to be the unrivaled focal point.
The color palette in the living room is reflective of the client’s Chinese heritage. On the wall you’ll see featured Chinese landscapes and the choice to incorporate the color red relates, as it is the most auspicious color known to the Eastern World and widely revered in Feng Shui practices. A punch of color is just what this mostly neutral condo needed to add personality and even more character. We specified custom upholstered goods along side classic pieces like the black Noguci coffee table featured in the main living area. The geometric pattern of the hand tufted wool rug reflects the boxy angles of the custom built-in media wall. We designed this custom millwork to house part of the couple’s extensive wine collection and integrated adjustable shelves to showcase charming keepsakes and wedding photos we styled them with.
