The Cigar Factory

In addition to being an old cigar factory, bold graphic pattern, contemporary furniture and rustic elements are the building blocks of this masculine design. Bringing color into the spaces with paint, furniture and home accessories was critical in order to create a dynamic, chic space. The loft layout is very appealing to begin with, but we wanted to use the elements available to play off of. Exposed duct work, wooden beams, and concrete floors were the foundation. Old and new was another essential concept for this design. Traditional head chairs in the dining room offset the rustic dining table and a contemporary rug and sectional contrast with the adjacent old world finishes. We wanted to take the thought of dynamic contrast one step further, and that’s just what we did.
