Washington Square

The space seems to be constantly sun filled, with its warm glow from wall color and cozy furnishings. The original flooring and widows speak to the old world charm of the building’s original design. The avenue through which Henck Design connected dark woods and soft finishes has created a harmony of elements throughout the space.

This historic home faces Washington Square Park, one of Philadelphia’s most beautifully designed parks that Ben Franklin planned for when he planned the city’s layout. The building is the location for the beginning of Pennsylvania Bible Society, founded in 1808. See a historical timeline on the website at Timeline History. Signers of the Declaration of Independence traveled through this building among other prominent figures.
